Márquez tops fourth practice in Brno
24 August 2013 – Marc Márquez topped the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Czech Grand Prix, the Repsol Honda rider moving to the top early on and staying fastest throughout, eventually finishing ahead of Jorge Lorenzo and Cal Crutchlow.
The opening minutes of the half-hour session saw a flurry of fastest laps from the frontrunners, with Dani Pedrosa, Valentino Rossi, Lorenzo and Márquez interchanging at the top of the timesheets. Márquez, winner of the past three races, posted an initial 1:56.839 to move ahead, and then extended the gap with a 1:56.277 to settle matters.
Lorenzo and Crutchlow were next up in third and fourth respectively, with Pedrosa taking fourth. Rossi dropped back to fifth, the Yamaha man just ahead of Bradley Smith and Álvaro Bautista. The top ten was rounded out by Andrea Dovizioso - who suffered a minor low-side crash late-on - Stefan Bradl, and Andrea Iannone.
