Confident Márquez eyeing further success
27 August 2013 – Marc Márquez is approaching this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone in a buoyant mood, the Repsol Honda rider having claimed victory in the past four races.
The Spaniard, contesting his maiden season in the premier class of motorcycle racing, holds a title lead of 26 points over team-mate Dani Pedrosa, an advantage that cannot be usurped at a venue he previously conquered during his 125cc days.
"We will see how Silverstone is with MotoGP; in 125cc I enjoyed it a lot but in Moto2 I struggled a little," said Márquez. "A key factor will be the weather as it can change quite a lot! Last year [Jorge] Lorenzo had a very good race so he will be strong.
"But we are coming off four victories in a row, we have good momentum and I feel really comfortable and confident on the bike. Let's see how the situation is when we get to Silverstone and as always work hard from practice on Friday morning!"
With seven rounds of the season remaining, a total of 175 points are still on offer.
