Márquez sets pace on Misano test day
16 September 2013 – Repsol Honda's Marc Márquez topped the timesheets during Monday's post-event test at Misano, outpacing race winner Jorge Lorenzo by just over two tenths of a second.

The Yamaha pairing of Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, separated by one and a half tenths in second and third, evaluated an engine specification for the 2014 YZR-M1, while Tech 3's Cal Crutchlow and Gresini rider Álvaro Bautista edged out Pedrosa.
Stefan Bradl ended the day seventh fastest, ahead of the works Ducatis. Andrea Dovizioso finished ahead of team-mate Nicky Hayden, but the Italian was only one tenth quicker despite running a new chassis. Pramac's Andrea Iannone completed the top ten, with Yonny Hernández marking his step up to the team in 16th position.
Suzuki was again present as it continues to prepare for its MotoGP return. Dedicated test rider Randy de Puniet posted the 13th fastest time, 1.8 seconds off the pace.
