Pedrosa stays fastest in afternoon
11 October 2013 – Dani Pedrosa remained quickest during second practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix. With a time of 2:00.554, the Repsol Honda was just two tenths off the lap record set by Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo, and more than half a second clear of his nearest rival.
As was the case in the opening session, Marc Márquez trailed his more experienced team-mate. Britain's Cal Crutchlow enjoyed a smooth day en route to third position, but wound up almost a second off the ultimate pace on his Tech 3 Yamaha machine.
Valentino Rossi made slight progress to finish fourth fastest, edging out Gresini's Álvaro Bautista and fellow Yamaha rider Lorenzo, who lapped slower this afternoon.
Third practice at Sepang begins at 9.55am local time (GMT +8) on Saturday
