Pedrosa fastest as Q2 order decided
12 October 2013 – Dani Pedrosa continued to set the pace during Saturday's third practice session at Sepang. Avoiding the worst of a light rain shower, the Repsol Honda rider posted a 2:00.877 to lead reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo by 0.046 seconds.
Although Pedrosa failed to improve on his Friday time, his best effort was still enough for the top spot. Factory Yamaha riders Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were his nearest challengers, ahead of LCR Honda's Stefan Bradl and Tech 3's Cal Crutchlow.
Gresini's Álvaro Bautista edged ahead of title leader Marc Márquez for sixth, with the works Ducati duo of Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden following in eighth and ninth respectively. Bradley Smith claimed tenth on the second Tech 3 Yamaha machine.
Final practice at the Sepang circuit gets underway at 1.30pm local time (GMT +8)
