Bradl ruled out for rest of weekend
12 October 2013 – Stefan Bradl has been ruled out of the Malaysian Grand Prix after sustaining a broken ankle during Saturday's fourth and final practice session at the Sepang circuit.
The German, who lost control of his LCR Honda bike at the first corner, slid across the track and caught his right ankle on a strip of artificial grass. He attempted to stand up after the crash, but was unable to apply pressure and instead held on to his ankle.
After attention at the side of the track, Bradl was taken to the medical centre for further checks, where a right ankle fracture was confirmed. He will now undergo surgery.
