Pedrosa gunning for Motegi hat-trick
22 October 2013 – Dani Pedrosa will be hoping to continue his run of success at Honda’s home circuit in Motegi this weekend.
The Repsol Honda rider won the event in both 2012 and 2011 and will now be out to stretch that run to three on Sunday.
“I always look forward to going to Motegi,” said Pedrosa ahead of the penultimate MotoGP event of the 2013 season. “It's a big race for Honda and I enjoy the track.”
“It's the final race of three fly away races and we're all tired, so it's important to keep the concentration,” he added.
“The track has a lot of strong braking and accelerating and we must find a good set up for the braking stability and to get good traction out of the corners.”
Meanwhile, looking back on Phillip Island, Pedrosa said he was happy to take the runners-up spot: “It was a strange race in Australia,” he continued.
“But I'm really pleased with my team who did a great job and we took a good second place,” he concluded.
