Hayden has 'loose screw' removed
18 November 2013 – New Aspar rider Nicky Hayden underwent successful wrist surgery over the weekend.
The American, who has switched from Ducati, had a loose screw removed from his right wrist, which was inserted after his heavy crash at the 2011 Valencia Grand Prix.
"Surgery went smooth," the 2006 World Champion explained via Twitter. "Feels good to have this loose screw the rest of the way out & not diggin' into my radius anymore."
Last week, Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa had a plate and 13 screws extracted from the collarbone he initially injured at the French Grand Prix two seasons ago.
