Márquez pleased after pace-setting test
6 February 2014 – Marc Márquez described himself as "pretty happy" after the opening pre-season test of the year in Malaysia.
The Repsol Honda rider, who became the youngest MotoGP World Champion last season, topped all three days at the Sepang International Circuit, and is feeling positive about his team's current position.
"I'm pretty happy with how the three days have gone and we have started the pre-season well," said Márquez.
"It's true that this is only the first test and we still have work to do, but we've already done a race simulation and it has all gone well. We tried many setups and gathered a lot of data, so we will be well prepared for the next test.
"We still have some things to try out, so we must make the most of the days that remain in the pre-season."
Márquez's fastest time of 1:59.533 on the final day put him two tenths clear of Yamaha rival Valentino Rossi.
