Pedrosa tops third session at Mugello
31 May 2014 – Dani Pedrosa knocked Honda team-mate Marc Márquez off of the top of the timesheets after setting the quickest lap time during the final stages of the third practice session ahead of this weekend's Italian Grand Prix.
Pedrosa's time of 1:47.754 was two-tenths of a second quicker than Márquez, who finished in second but was unable to improve on his best time from Friday.
Andrea Dovizioso was third for Ducati, just a couple of thousands behind the championship leader.
Jorge Lorenzo was fourth, ahead of fellow Yamaha riders Bradley Smith and home favourite Valentino Rossi.
Cal Crutchlow was seventh, with Pol Espargaró, Stefan Bradl and Andrea Iannone rounding out the top 10.
Aleix Espargaró and Álvaro Bautista narrowly missed the first 10 slots and will therefore battle it out in the first segment of qualifying.
