Pedrosa hoping arm is better in Barcelona
11 June 2014 – Dani Pedrosa is hoping is arm is 'improved' and that he will be able to 'battle at the front' this weekend in Barcelona.
Pedrosa had to have surgery on his arm last month for compartmental syndrome - or 'arm pump' as it is known in the bike racing community - and it was still causing him issues last time out in Mugello, where he finished a disappointed fourth.
"Mugello was more difficult than I expected and my arm still wasn't 100 per cent," said the Repsol Honda rider ahead of round seven in MotoGP 2014. "I had a check-up with Dr. Mir after the race who confirmed everything is healing correctly, so I hope this weekend it will have improved and I can be in the battle at the front."
"As always, I'm looking forward to going to Montmelò, the track is nice but the atmosphere is amazing," he added.
"We will have to work hard but I hope that the bike works well there as you spend a lot of time on the edge of the tyre here so a great setup is a huge advantage. Let's hope the weather is nice and it's a good weekend."
