Márquez out to make most of Honda advantage
8 July 2014 – Marc Márquez reckons his Repsol Honda machine will perform well at the Sachsenring this weekend, the reigning World Champion determined to make the most of it by stretching his winning run to nine from nine.
Márquez heads to the German event with the added confidence of taking the victory last season, although he admits that team-mate Dani Pedrosa will be "strong" and potentially his biggest threat over the weekend.
"It was a tough and complicated weekend in Assen, but I was really happy to win a race under such tricky conditions. Now we have Sachsenring which is a nice circuit, but quite special as it's so small," said Márquez.
"Last year I had a good race but we must remember that neither Dani or Jorge [Lorenzo] were able to race [due to injury] so this year I look forward to racing them, especially as Dani is so strong at this track!
"It seems the Honda is well suited to this circuit so we will look to make the most of this advantage."
