Smith confirmed at Tech 3 for 2015
13 August 2014 – Bradley Smith will remain with Tech 3 Yamaha in 2015 after signing a one-year contract extension.
The 23-year-old Briton graduated to the premier class with Hervé Poncharal's squad last year, having spent two seasons in Moto2 and five terms in the previous 125cc division – where he finished as runner-up in 2009.
Smith's personal best finish to date is fifth, achieved at this year's Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin.
"It's difficult to explain exactly how I feel right now but I am just overly thankful to Yamaha and Hervé as well as the whole Tech 3 team for believing in me and enabling me to continue riding here for another year," said Smith.
"I love working with this team plus the Yamaha YZR-M1 and it's crazy to think that this will be our fifth year together. There's been a lot of emotion in re-signing so I'm really happy with the end result and that everything is finally sorted. It's also positive mentally to have next year clear whilst going into the second half of this season.
"It's now time to start achieving and performing at my full potential, which I don't believe we have seen yet."
Smith currently holds ninth in the 2014 standings on 58 points, 20 behind team-mate Pol Espargaró.
