Salaquarda joins Superleague Formula for 2011
4 February 2011 – Filip Salaquarda will race for Atech Reid GP in 2011, after the 27-year-old came to an agreement with the Welsh-based outfit this week. Following a season in the World Series by Renault category - where the Czech-born driver finished the season in 11th with 44 points - Salaquarda will make the switch to Superleague Formula this year.
“I would firstly like to thanks Atech Reid GP for this brilliant opportunity they offered to me. The Superleague Formula is an extremely competitive and powerful car, with a sensational feeling on the drive,” Salaquarda commented.
“During our tests in Spain I immediately understood that this was the right decision. I cannot wait any longer to go back on track and start to prepare the championship.”
Team Principal Anthony Reid added: “We are very happy to have Salaquarda on board with us, a driver who impressed for speed and talent during our tests in Spain. I am sure that his driving style will be thrilled by the characteristics of such a powerful and professional car.”
