Bird switches to World Series by Renault

Sam Bird will be making a move from GP2 to Formula Renault 3.5 for the 2012 season. The Englishman, reserve driver for the Mercedes F1 team, will therefore be able to enjoy more time with the Brackley squad on Grand Prix weekends, as GP2 races alongside Formula 1 and would have made for a more hectic schedule.
