Ascari flips into harbour, Monaco 1955

Alberto Ascari’s Lancia leaves the track whilst leading the 1955 Monaco Grand Prix, flipping into the harbour. Tragically, the Italian’s miraculous escape was short-lived, as the double World Champion was killed when testing a sports Ferrari at Monza just four days later.
