Walker to stick with Fortec

Walker to stick with Fortec

14 February 2008

After a successful debut season in the 2007 World Series by Renault, James Walker will continue to race with Fortec Motorsport in 2008. The Jersey racer fits in well with the British team and is delighted with this news as he believes a continuation of the partnership will give him the best chance of further success in the Series.

"I had a good rookie season in the World Series by Renault," said James. "The highlight was definitely the win at Donington but I enjoyed the whole season as we made steady progress as we went through the races. I know I still have more to give and I have continued to train hard over the winter to make sure I am ready for the new season. I know that the team will continue to push me hard and I am ready and willing to put the work in. I think we have some exciting times ahead of us."

James doesn't have much longer to wait to get his hands on the 2008-specification World Series by Renault car which features improved aerodynamic performance and increased engine power. The first official test of 2008 is scheduled for 5 March in Valencia.
