GP2's Clos and Mortara to race in World Series

14 July 2009

GP2 racers Dani Clos and Edoardo Mortara will be joining the Renault 3.5 championship over the course of the next two meetings at Le Mans and Portimao. The Spaniard will be taking part in all four races between the two meetings whereas the Italian pilot will be racing in France only.

New to GP2 this season, 20-year-old Clos will now make his first appearance in the World Series in which he will drive for the Epsilon Euskadi team after testing the car in November last year.

Mortara's sole appearance will be at Le Mans with the Tech 1 squad alongside Charles Pic; the Frenchman's regular team-mate, Brendon Hartley, will be taking time out as the race weekend clashes with his Carlin Motorsport Formula 3 Euroseries commitments in Holland.
