Tambay gets Pons call-up for Monaco
Adrien Tambay has been given the opportunity to drive for the Pons World Series by Renault squad on the streets of Monte-Carlo next weekend, becoming Oliver Webb’s fourth team-mate of the season. The Frenchman competed in four GP3 races last year, securing his maiden victory in the series at Spa-Francorchamps.
Since the start of the 2011 campaign Pons has been unable to secure a single driver to race consistently alongside Webb, with Dominic Storey (Aragón), Jean-Karl Vernay (Spa-Francorchamps) and Filip Salaquarda (Monza) all youngsters who have previously occupied the seat.
