Marco Sørensen ensured that the World Series by Renault test at the Circuit de Catalunya this week was headed by a Danish driver on both days, with the 2011 German Formula 3 competitor comfortably moving to the top of the timesheets after compatriot Kevin Magnussen led proceedings 24 hours ago.

Testing for Gravity-Charouz, 21-year-old Sørensen posted a time of 1:32.815 in the morning session, the fastest time of the two-day event by 0.783 seconds. Frenchman Arthur Pic ultimately wound up in second place as the day concluded, with Adrian Quaife-Hobbs and Tuesday pace-setter Magnussen completing the top four.

Daniel Abt and Walter Grubmüller were next up with their respective personal best efforts, just ahead of GP3 Champion Valtteri Bottas and Vittorio Ghirelli. Epic Racing tester César Ramos ended the day in ninth, while Zoël Amberg completed the top ten.
