Félix da Costa stays with Arden for 2013

9 January 2013

António Félix da Costa will remain with Arden Caterham for the 2013 Formula Renault 3.5 championship. The Portuguese driver, 21-years-old, will contest his first full term in the category after replacing Lewis Williamson five races into the 2012 campaign.

Félix da Costa, a member of the Red Bull Junior programme, finished fourth in the World Series standings last year, picking up four victories and two further podium finishes. He combined his racing programme with the GP3 Series, ending up third at the end of an impressive campaign. However, the highlight of Félix da Costa's year came on the streets of Macau, where he triumphed in the prestigious Formula 3 race.

Having tested for Red Bull at the Abu Dhabi Young Driver test last November, Félix da Costa was a potential candidate for the team's test and reserve role in 2013, but Swiss media claims that Sébastien Buemi will retain the position for another season.
