Jerez to replace Barcelona from 2014
20 September 2013 – Jerez will replace Barcelona on the Formula Renault 3.5 calendar from the 2014 season, the Andalusian venue signing a two-year deal with series organisers.
Barcelona has been on the Formula Renault 3.5 roster since 2006, hosting the final round every season aside from 2009, when the honour went to Motorland Aragón.
"We are delighted to have set the seal on this partnership with the city of Jerez," said Renault Sport Technologies Managing Director Patrice Ratti. "The track has a special place in the history of motorsport, and we will use all the know-how we have acquired over the last ten years to make the meeting at Jerez an event not to be missed."
It has not yet been determined if Jerez, one of two Spanish circuits confirmed on the 2014 calendar alongside Motorland Aragón, will stage the final round of the season.
