FR3.5 to visit the Nürburgring again
21 October 2013 – Formula Renault 3.5 will travel to the Nürburgring once more in 2014, following the announcement of the 2014 calendar. The German venue takes the slot previously held by the Red Bull Ring, which moves aside after just one season of hosting.
The series will take in five current Formula 1 venues; Monza, Monte-Carlo (as part of the Monaco Grand Prix support bill) the aforementioned Nürburgring, the Hungaroring and Spa-Francorchamps. As opposed to the newly-renamed Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the season finale will take place at the Circuito de Jerez on October 18-19.
"We've put together a calendar that offers plenty of variety and is structured around Formula 1 circuits and key markets for the Renault brand," said Arnaud Boulanger, Director of Motorsport Renault Sport Technologies, after the calendar was revealed.
"We've gone for the same balance, and the tracks selected will give the drivers the best possible preparation for the challenges that await them in their careers."
