Huff and Muller test new Chevrolet

15 October 2010

Rob Huff and Yvan Muller got the chance to test the new Chevrolet this week at Jerez in Spain and both were impressed with the 2011 model, which was equipped with the new 1.6 litre turbo engine. In total the team completed just over 1000 kilometres without any technical issues.

"This was a very positive test,” said Huff. “The new engine is responding well and we are exactly where we wanted to be.

"The driveability of the car is really excellent, thanks to the much better torque of the turbo engine."

"It was the first time I was driving the 2011 Cruze with the new engine and I was very positively impressed,” Muller added.

“We still have a lot of work to do, but we have a very good basis to build upon and we are working in the right direction."

During the three-day test the team also ran with the 2010 Cruze, preparing for the final two events of the season in Japan and Macau, where Muller and Chevrolet and will be out to defend their respective leads in the Drivers’ and Manufacturers' Championships.
