Running between 1 November and 31 October, the latest contest came to a close on Sunday. In the battle for the Silver Star, incidentally, British Touring Cars’ Gordon Shedden beats Champion Jason Plato.

Dating back to 1929, the scheme awards a selection of drivers from various racing categories, with the points table spanning a selection of international races.

This year’s Gold and Silver Star awards will be presented to Priaulx and Shedden, respectively, at the 2010 BRDC Annual Awards ceremony in London’s Savoy Hotel on Monday 6 December.
