Neal 'really optimistic' for rest of season
4 April 2011 – Matt Neal was delighted to collect the third and final British Touring Car race victory of the day on Sunday, having been taken out of the opening round after starting on pole position. However, the Honda driver is highly confident following a strong start to the campaign at Brands Hatch.
“We’ve got to be pleased with what we’ve achieved this weekend but it could have been even more if I hadn’t have been knocked off the road in the opening race,” the Champion of 2005 and 2006 explained.
“We have christened the new (turbocharged) engine and it’s performed perfectly first time out, which is testament to the effort we’ve all put in. We aren’t going to stand still now and we will work harder than ever to stay at the front.”
