Wrathall cautious heading to Knockhill
31 August 2011 – Following his impressive outing at Snetterton, Frank Wrathall is adopting a more vigilant approach ahead of Rounds 19, 20 and 21 of the BTCC at Knockhill this weekend. At the Norfolk circuit four weekends ago, the 2011 newcomer managed a qualifying position of seventh and career-best finish of fourth in Race 1.
“We’ve undertaken a complete review of the front end and, in particular, the cooling system because we felt it was perhaps a little too fragile,” the Dynojet Toyota driver explained after a recent test at Rockingham.
“It’s been a big job, quite complicated and we had a couple of set-backs along the way, but now everything is back together and working well.”
The 24-year-old from Lancaster went on to share his Knockhill predictions:
“We haven’t tested the car there so we don’t really know yet how it will go, but my guess is that we may find it tough. However, the Avensis is so easy to adjust to circuits that I’m sure we will be able to get near the pace.”
