Trulli team to miss Formula E opener
23 October 2015 – The grid for this weekend's 2015/16 Formula E season opener in Beijing has been reduced to 18 drivers after the Trulli cars were not submitted to scrutineering before the deadline.
Trulli struggled during pre-season testing and the squad's car was unable to post a single competitive lap, but the outfit travelled to China with Vitantonio Liuzzi and Salvador Durán.
Trulli claims that key components have been held up in customs and race organisers consequently granted the outfit an extension to meet the deadline, though the components were still not submitted in time.
Due to the cars not being scrutineered, the team has been left out of a revised entry list for Saturday's race.
Formula E organisers confirmed that Trulli will be able to return at the next round of the championship in Malaysia, which takes place on November 7.
