Kristensen, Solberg to make RoC return
14 September 2016 – Tom Kristensen and Petter Solberg will return to the Race of Champions in January 2017, when the event moves to Miami.
Kristensen, who retired from competitive racing in 2014, has reached the final of the individual knockout tournament for three of the last four events, as last year finished runner-up to Sebastian Vettel.
Kristensen and Solberg have recently collaborated at the Race of Champions to form Team Nordic, and in 2014 won the Nations Cup.
Kristensen claimed a record nine victories at the Le Mans 24 Hours and continued to play an active role in motorsport, occasionally appearing as a Formula 1 steward.
Solberg, meanwhile, is aiming for a third successive World Rallycross title, having also claimed the World Rally Championship in 2003.
Vettel, IndyCar star Ryan Hunter-Reay, NASCAR's Kurt Busch and Travis Pastrana are the other confirmed competitors for January's event.
