Jörg joins Trident for second GP3 season
11 January 2017 – Renault-backed Kevin Jörg will switch to Trident for his second season in the GP3 Series.
Swiss racer Jörg (21), part of the Renault Sport Academy, entered GP3 with DAMS in 2016, placing 14th overall with five points finishes, including a run to fourth at the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
"The goal is to stay among the frontrunners and collect several podium finishes," said Joerg.
"I'm absolutely confident that Trident will provide me with all [that] it takes to reach all the goals I have set for myself [and] I can't wait to get back on track with my new team!"
Team Manager Giacomo Ricci added: "We had the chance to see Kevin in action in 2015 in a collective post-season test at Yas Marina and we were quite impressed.
"He convinced me for his raw speed and for his ability to adapt.
"Kevin is definitely a great prospect and I'm sure that we will be doing a good job together in GP3 this season. We are really motivated and looking forward to work with him."
Jörg finished runner-up in Formula Renault 2.0 NEC in 2015.
