Lynn joins DS Virgin FE in reserve role
23 January 2017 – Alex Lynn has joined the DS Virgin Formula E team as its reserve driver on a multi-year deal.
British racer Lynn, 23, spent the past two years competing in GP2, placing sixth overall in both seasons, while also acting as a Formula 1 development driver with Williams.
DS Virgin currently fields Sam Bird and José María López.
"Formula E is arguably the most competitive motor racing championship in the world, with the highest calibre of drivers," said Lynn.
"As a driver I want to be competing in the top series, which is why I've been trying so hard to get into Formula E, and 'DS Virgin was my first choice.
"I'm delighted to have signed a multi-year deal with DS Virgin Racing."
DS Virgin Team Principal Alex Tai added: "I'm delighted we have acquired a driver of the calibre and potential of Alex Lynn.
"It is a testament to the strength of Formula E that we're now attracting drivers like Alex and it speaks volumes that Alex has chosen DS Virgin Racing as his team.

Lynn previously won the GP3 title and Macau Grand Prix.
