Arden announces GP3 line-up for 2017
7 February 2017 – Arden has completed its driver line-up for the 2017 GP3 Series campaign, with Leonardo Pulcini and Steijn Schothorst joining Red Bull-backed Niko Kari at the team.
Italian racer Pulcini, 18, will make his series debut after clinching last year's EuroFormula Open title, having taken three pole positions, seven victories and six further podiums.
Dutchman Schothorst, 22, contested the 2016 GP3 campaign with Campos, during which he took six points finishes, with a best of fifth in Britain and Malaysia, en route to 13th overall.
Kari, who hails from Finland, finished 10th in last year's European Formula 3 standings, with one victory, the 17-year-old also briefly appearing in GP3 with Koiranen GP in Belgium.
All three drove for Arden during last year's post-season test in Abu Dhabi.
"We tested all three drivers at the end of 2016 and we were very impressed with how each of them quickly integrated themselves into the team," said team boss Richard Dent.
"It's great to secure Niko, Leo and Steijn; it's a good combination of series rookies and series experience and I have no doubt that each will be a frontrunner and be challenging for wins.
"Personally, I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season."
