Massa to contest Stock Car Brasil opener
7 December 2017 – Felipe Massa is to make his first post-Formula 1 racing appearance at next year's opening round of the Stock Car Brasil championship at Interlagos.
Massa will link up with five-time champion Cacá Bueno at the Cimed Racing squad for the 'Race of Doubles' event, which features guest drivers alongside regular competitors.
Massa bowed out of Formula 1 at last month's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, bringing down the curtain on a 15-year career which yielded 11 wins and the runner-up position in 2008.
"I am honoured by the invitation and will be very proud to make my debut in Stock Car in the doubles with the greatest champion in activity and my great friend, Cacá Bueno," said Massa.
"In addition, Cimed Racing, as the current two-time champion, is the ideal team to face a challenge like this, in an extremely competitive category.
"It will be special to meet the Brazilian fans after my exciting farewell at the Brazilian Grand Prix, this time in my first race after Formula 1.
"We will work hard to crown this participation with a good result starting this new phase of my career."
The race will take place on March 10 next year.
