Rosberg completes first run in F1 W04
4 February 2013 – Nico Rosberg has completed the first ever laps in the new Mercedes F1 W04 chassis. The German, who is entering his fourth season with the team, left the Jerez pit lane at approximately 9.20am local time (GMT +1) to begin promotional work.
Ahead of the official F1 W04 launch later today, the team has hired the Spanish venue for filming purposes. This means that Rosberg will be racking up mileage at a more leisurely pace, before running the car in anger for the first time tomorrow morning.
Mercedes will formally present its latest challenger at 1.30pm local time (GMT +1). Toro Rosso is also preparing to launch its new car on Monday, while Marussia and Caterham will pull the covers off their respective challengers tomorrow morning.
