Marussia joins forces with Reading FC
30 June 2013 – Marussia has announced a new partnership with Russian-owned Championship football club Reading FC ahead of Sunday's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
The agreement will see the two parties share benefits in a variety of areas including brand exposure, marketing and promotional initiatives and human performance, collaborating in a bid to advance their fitness, nutrition and coaching programmes.
Reading FC will feature for the first time on the cars of Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton at Silverstone this afternoon. Both drivers start from the penultimate row of the grid.
Marussia is not the first team to join forces with a football club; Caterham formed an alliance with Queens Park Rangers during Tony Fernandes' spell as Team Principal, while Sauber has an ongoing agreement with Premier League squad Chelsea FC.
