Final 2017 entry list confirms Manor exit
1 March 2017 – Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, has issued an updated entry list for the 2017 Formula 1 season, omitting Manor, thus ending the team's slim chances of remaining in the sport.
Manor, which finished at the foot of last year's 11-team championship, entered administration in early January, after negotiations with interested parties over a takeover came to an end.
Administrators FRP Advisory attempted to salvage the team, continuing to pay staff salaries through January, while continuing talks with potential buyers.
Manor Grand Prix Racing Ltd, the sister company of JRSL, which held the rights for the team's participation in Formula 1, was not in administration.
However, at the end of January, Manor ceased trading, hindering its chances further, though rumours persisted that the team stood a slim chance of staying alive, should fresh funding have been found.
Those hopes, however, have now come to an end, with the team not included on the finalised 2017 entry list, issued by the FIA on Wednesday afternoon.
