Ricciardo takes on new PU components
16 July 2017 – Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo has taken on new power unit components for the British Grand Prix, with the Australian already consigned to a back-row grid spot.
Ricciardo entered qualifying with a five-place demotion due to an unscheduled gearbox change, but a suspected turbo issue stranded him in Q1, and he qualified in 20th place.
Ricciardo will move up to 19th due to Fernando Alonso's 30-place demotion, and Red Bull has opted to fit a fifth MGU-H of the season, for which he receives a notional 10-place penalty.
A fourth Internal Combustion Engine, fourth Turbocharger and third MGU-K have also been installed in his RB13, though these new parts remain within Ricciardo's 2017 allocation.
