Engine players picked for Friday conference
13 September 2017 – Leading figures from McLaren, Renault, Honda, Toro Rosso and Red Bull have all been selected to participate in this weekend's Friday press conference at the Singapore Grand Prix.
Formula 1 holds a press conference following Friday's second practice session at each Grand Prix, with six team representatives chosen by the FIA to attend.
For the first part, McLaren chief Zak Brown and Renault Managing Director Cyril Abiteboul will be present, along with Force India's Otmar Szafnauer.
For the second segment, Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner and his Toro Rosso counterpart Franz Tost will be seated next to Honda head Yusuke Hasegawa.
McLaren is poised to sever its ties with Honda and link up with Renault from 2018, after struggling with unreliable and underpowered engines from the Japanese marque.
Honda, meanwhile, is set to partner Toro Rosso, ostensibly providing Red Bull with an option for 2019, should the company enjoy an upturn in performance.
Friday's press conference is scheduled for 22:15 local time, 45 minutes after the conclusion of second practice at Marina Bay.
