McLaren-backed de Vries gets DTM test
20 October 2017 – McLaren-backed Nyck de Vries is among a handful of drivers who will feature in the DTM young driver test for Audi next week.
De Vries, a long-term member of McLaren's young driver scheme, holds seventh position in this season's Formula 2 championship, having stepped up from GP3.
He sampled Audi's RS5 last year and has been affiliated with the manufacturer this season, being put on standby as a potential replacement for Mike Rockenfeller for Moscow.
Joining de Vries for the test will be Álex Palou, Ferdinand Habsburg, Jonathan Aberdein, Dries Vanthoor and Yann Ehrlacher.
The running will take place at the Lausitzring from next Tuesday to Thursday.
