14 October 2017 – Callum Ilott dominated proceedings to lead a Prema 1-2-3 in the second race of the European Formula 3 finale at Hockenheim, his sixth victory of the campaign.
Ilott started from pole position and cruised away from the pack before establishing a comfortable buffer during a relatively processional affair.
He crossed the line 11 seconds clear of Maximilian Günther, while Ferrari protégé Guan Yu Zhou resisted late pressure from Joel Eriksson to complete a podium lockout for Prema.
Eriksson fell just half a second shy of demoting Zhou, having spent much of the race embroiled in a frantic scrap with Hitech's Jake Hughes.
The pair ran side-by-side on several occasions before Eriksson eventually completed a move, leaving Hughes in fifth spot, ahead of team-mate Nikita Mazepin.
Pedro Piquet was seventh, as Jehan Daruvala, Tadasuke Makino and Ralf Aron rounded out the top 10.
Newly-crowned champion Lando Norris started seventh but went wide at the hairpin on the opening lap as the field bunched together.
Norris dropped to 13th and recovered only to 11th, missing out on the points.
1. Lando Norris - 429 points
2. Joel Eriksson - 370 points
3. Maximilian Günther - 358 points
Sunday's final race of the season will begin at 10:55 local time
