Frijns to retain Hilmer seat at Silverstone
26 June 2013 – Robin Frijns will retain his drive with Hilmer Motorsport for this weekend's GP2 round at the Silverstone circuit, the Dutchman confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.
Having been unable to find the required budget for a full-time campaign, the 21-year-old joined the grid on a race-by-race basis from the second round in Bahrain.
"I heard about it today and tomorrow I will travel to Silverstone," Frijns told GPUpdate.net. "I am very happy to continue racing in GP2, but it is not great that I always hear so close to each race weekend. This makes it impossible for me to properly prepare."
Having picked up a Feature Race victory and second place finish from his outings to date, Frijns sits sixth in the championship standings on a total of 37 points.
