Evans excluded from GP2 qualifying
4 September 2015 – Mitch Evans has been stripped of his front row slot for the GP2 Feature Race at Monza after it was discovered that the tyre pressures on his Russian Time car were below the minimum requirement.
Evans had qualified second to DAMS driver Pierre Gasly but has now been sent to the back of the grid, promoting Championship leader Stoffel Vandoorne to the front row.
Sergio Canamasas, who qualified in ninth position, was found guilty of the same misdemeanour and has also been stripped of his result.
Marlon Stöckinger and MP Motorsport debutant Meindert van Buuren were deemed to have impeded rivals during qualifying and have been handed three place penalties.
This demotes Stöckinger from 21st position while Van Buuren will have to start from the pit lane as he is unable to serve his sanction having qualified at the back.
