Campos confirms Evans, Gelael for 2016
19 January 2016 – Campos Racing has named Mitch Evans and Sean Gelael as its drivers for the 2016 GP2 season.
New Zealand's Evans, 21, made his series debut with Arden in 2013, before spending two seasons with Russian Time, during which he claimed four victories, and recorded a best overall classification of fourth in 2014.
Gelael made a handful of GP2 outings for Carlin last year, alongside a full-time Formula Renault 3.5 campaign, and the 19-year-old Indonesian will bring with him the backing of the KFC Jagonya Ayam brand.
As part of the deal, Jagonya Ayam will act as Campos' main sponsor for the next two seasons.
"Gelael and Evans are an all-new driver line up for Jagonya Ayam Campos Racing but they both are two young and extremely competitive racers who will defend the Campos Racing banner," read a press release.
Campos last year fielded Arthur Pic and Rio Haryanto, the latter linked to a Manor F1 seat for 2016.
