Merhi returns to Rapax for Formula 2 finale
20 November 2017 – Roberto Merhi will return to Rapax for this weekend's Formula 2 season finale in Abu Dhabi.
Merhi first appeared in F2 this season in Barcelona, driving for Campos as a one-off, before joining Rapax for the Spa-Francorchamps and Monza rounds.
World Series Formula Renault 3.5 race winner René Binder took his spot for the standalone event at Jerez, but Merhi will return to Rapax at Yas Marina.
Merhi has scored three points finishes from his sporadic 2017 outings, all with Rapax, including a best finish of fifth in the Monza Sprint Race.
Johnny Cecotto Jr. and Sergio Canamasas have also driven the #19 Rapax this season, while Louis Delétraz moved into the #18 car following Nyck de Vries' switch to Racing Engineering.
Rapax, along with Russian Time, will leave F2 at the end of the campaign.
