Charouz signs Delétraz and Fuoco for 2018
14 December 2017 – Formula 2 newcomers Charouz has recruited Louis Delétraz and Antonio Fuoco for its inaugural campaign in the championship in 2018.
Charouz, which guided Pietro Fittipaldi to the 2017 Formula V8 3.5 title, has joined the category, along with Carlin and Fortec, as part of an expanded grid.
Delétraz finished 17th in the championship this year, splitting his campaign between Racing Engineering and Rapax, while Fuoco placed eighth with Prema, taking a win in Italy.
"I'm really happy to join Charouz because every championship they've entered in the past they've been quick and won races," said Delétraz.
"This is a very exciting project and I think we can do great things next year. It's definitely my objective to do a very strong season."
Added Fuoco: "I'm really happy to join Charouz and have a new challenge in F2.
"The team has a good racing pedigree after winning the World Series title this year and everyone is pushing hard to do everything perfectly.
"If this happens, I know we can all do a good season together at Charouz."
Both drivers will carry the Ferrari Driver Academy logo next season.
