Bourdais returns to Dale Coyne for 2017
12 October 2016 – Dale Coyne Racing has confirmed that Sébastien Bourdais will race for the team in the IndyCar Series next season.
Bourdais, 37, claimed four Champ Car titles between 2004 and 2007, before moving into Formula 1 with Toro Rosso.
Bourdais returned to America, via stints in sportscars, with Dale Coyne in 2011, entering nine IndyCar events with the team.
Bourdais has since enjoyed spells with Dragon Racing and KV Racing/KVSH, taking four victories across the past three years with the latter team, but will now embark on a second stint with Dale Coyne in 2017.
"Back in 2011, Dale was the one who gave me the opportunity to come back to IndyCar, and I'm looking forward to a very exciting second stint with his team," said Bourdais.
"I would like to thank Chevrolet and KVSH Racing for their support and trust in me over the last few years.
"Now, a new chapter has begun and it would not have been possible without Honda's commitment to our effort."
Bourdais' IndyCar career:
2005 - Newman/Haas, 28th (Indy500 only)
2011 - Dale Coyne Racing, 23rd (9 races)
